Wondering how to replace carbonated drinks with something homemade? It’s possible, check this out:
Carbonated drinks and beverages are definitely products that we consume multiple times on a regular basis while we’re at home quarantined in the summer. It probably won’t come as any surprise if I tell you all that these drinks are loaded with preservatives so why not share some healthier alternatives I’ve come across.
First off, infusing water with any kind of fruits and vegetables is an amazing substitute to sodas which can increase your risk of diabetes. Some fruits you could use are cucumber, mint, lemon, grapefruit and oranges along with so many more. With this in a glass filled with ice cubes, drinking 8 glasses of water won’t be an issue anymore.
Secondly, you could make your own ice tea at home as well just with a few steps. Start off by steeping your tea with some hot water and your preferred choice of tea bag. After that, add a natural sweetener like honey and finish it off with some water, ice cubes. You are free to add lemon and mint leaves and make it as strong or sweet as you would like.
Lastly, instead of purchasing fruit juices from stores you could easily make them at home. For instance, add seedless watermelon to a blender and blend it for a few seconds. Since watermelon is 92% filled with water, it leads to the consistent of a perfect fruit juice. For other fruits like kiwi and oranges you could add the fruit of ur own preference along with some lime juice, natural sweetener like honey and water to a blender. Want another reason to try this out? It’s customisable and you won’t have to force yourself to gulp down a glass of the so called magic healer that is ‘kale juice’, you can consume something just as relishing but healthier in the long run. Also, you know, it’s a nice excuse to post on social media right? Don’t forget to drink it too though!
